A three-dimensional numerical analysis of the Jet Engine Hush House located at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida was developed using the PHOENICS computer code. The PHOENICS code was used to determine the steady state aerothermal characteristics in the Hush House produced by a Navy F-4 (Phantom II) J-79-GE-8 gas turbine engine with afterburner. The PHOENICS generated pressure, velocity, and temperature fields of the test cell facility based on the k-epsilon turbulence model are compared with results generated by a model incorporating a temperature dependent kinematic turbulent viscosity. In addition, for the k-epsilon turbulence model, the effect of augmenter tube length on system behavior was investigated. Lessons learned and recommendations in obtaining a converged solution are included to aid in further applications of the PHOENICS code. This book gives an introduction to the basics of aerothermodynamics, as applied in particular to winged re-entry vehicles and airbreathing cruise and acceleration vehicles. Beginning with a broad vehicle classification and a discussion of the flight environment, Basics of Aero-thermodynamics focuses on flight in the earth's atmosphere at speeds.
In this study, the aerodynamic performance of compound wings in ground effect was numerically investigated through a parametric design study. The compound wing is divided into three parts with one rectangular wing in the middle and two reverse taper.

I know roughly how a turbine engine (let's say a gas turbine producing no jet thrust) is supposed to work. The compressor forces fresh air into a combustion chamber, where it reacts with fuel to become hot exhaust gas.
On its way out of the engine, the exhaust gas drives a turbine, and the turbine both makes the compressor go, and has enough leftover torque to do useful work. (CTI) PLANE IN A NOZZLE GUIDE VANE TEST FACILITY I.

Introduction. Every year, buildings use large amounts of energy. It is reported that, in the U.S., the building sector, including residential, commercial and government buildings, accounted for about 41% of the primary energy usage, 47% of which is used for the space heating and cooling the commercial buildings, air infiltrations can contribute to 18% of the total heat by: The Aerodynamics, Aerothermodynamics, and Plasmadynamics (AAP) Discipline3 of NASA’s Hypersonics Project within the Fundamental Aeronautics Program has undertaken an effort to make quantitative uncertainty assessments of the state-of-the-art CFD predicted aerothermal environments.
